Rice Business Executive Education has partnered with Leadership Academy Nepal (LAN) to tackle human capital challenges and make a meaningful impact on organizations and communities in Nepal and South Asia.

The partnership recently accomplished another milestone with the installment of its weeklong advanced leadership program, which covers leadership, innovation strategy, digital disruption, fintech, global economics, and contemporary banking and institutional investment issues.

LAN is a private initiative committed to motivating leaders in Nepal and South Asia. Its relationship with Rice Business Executive Education has been flourishing for years. The partnership is led by Michael Koenig, executive director of Rice Business Executive Education and associate dean for innovation initiatives, and Arun Joshi, LAN’s founder and CEO.

Together, they have served as a catalyst for learning and development with Rice Business faculty delivering cutting-edge leadership and business programs.

Additionally, the partnership is delivering online and blended programs with impact beyond Nepal. They recently hosted a two-day short course, Digital Disruption in Finance and the Future of Banking, drawing participants from Nepal, India, Myanmar and Singapore. This online synchronous training explored how fintech disruptors are transforming finance, from payments to wealth management.

In Nepal, the partnership has concentrated on the banking sector. They’ve collaborated to offer vital training to top executives in Class A banks, addressing specific challenges such as limited credit access and frequent power outages.

LAN participants are enthusiastic learners and deeply committed to contributing to Nepal’s development. Their dedication has the potential to significantly impact the country’s economic prosperity.

The partnership showcases the power of collaboration in driving positive change. Their focus on leadership, innovation and economic development not only transforms participants’ lives but also bolsters prosperity in Nepal and South Asia.
