Call for Submissions

The Office of Public Affairs requests your involvement in a quarterly newsletter, Rice at Large. Intended to raise awareness of Rice’s varied community outreach and engagement programs, Rice at Large is sent to members of the Houston community, including educators, community and political leaders, program funders, and others with whom the university would like to engage. The newsletter includes articles, photographs and illustrations.

We invite all individuals and units in the Rice community to submit articles (500-word maximum) featuring their outreach program, event or initiative. Accepted articles will be edited for publication. We may also contact the author for follow-up questions. Please put the name of the writer with his or her title at the end of the story.

We also encourage that you submit photographs or imagery with your article. Digital photos must be more than 200 dpi resolution to allow for print publication. If you need a photographer, please contact us.

Submissions for the issue must be received by Feb. 16, 2017. To submit an article or for more information, please contact David Medina, director of Multicultural Community Relations, at dmedina@rice.edu, 713-348-6753. The Office of Multicultural Community Relations is a division of the Office of Public Affairs.
